SM29-24 brushless serial bus magnetic code intelligent servo motor is a kind of integrated servo
unit which integrates motor, servo drive and bus communication interface. It is very suitable to
replace the traditional servo, as the joint, wheel and track drive of micro robot, and can also be
used in other simple position or step control occasions.

SM29-24 brushless servo adopts advanced servo control technology and 32-bit high-
speed ARM microprocessor, which has fast response speed, accurate positioning and
no jitter. Compared with the 50 Hz control frequency of the traditional RC servo, the
SM29 brushless series servo ensures the accuracy of position control and the stability of
torque through the control frequency as high as 1kHz.
SM29-24 brushless Servo adopts 12 bit high-precision magnetic code to measure the
position. The output shaft of the steering gear can rotate continuously and the output torque is up to 24 kg.cm.
SM29-24 brushless Servo has serial bus interface. 254 servos can form a chain type
through bus, and can be controlled by asynchronous serial interface. Each servo can be
set with different node address, and multiple servos can be unified motion or controlled
independently.
The SM29-24 adopts Modbus RTU communication protocol. The servo communicates
with the user's upper computer through RS485 asynchronous serial interface. Users can
set its parameters, such as baud rate, angle setting, torque ratio setting, installation
median setting. For details, please refer to the memory table to realize function control.
The SM29-24 can be set to motor mode or position control mode by sending commands
through Modbus RTU communication protocol.
In the motor mode, SM29-24 can be used as a DC deceleration motor, with forward and
reverse rotation and adjustable speed; in the position control mode, any absolute angle of
0-360 ° single turn and multi turn can be controlled (the number of power down turns is
not saved), so it has accurate position control performance and controllable speed within
this range.
